Welcome to World2math! My name is Amy Bride, and I'd like to share a bit about myself.

For over twenty years, I have had the privilege of teaching elementary school students (grades 1-5, ages 6-11) in Andover, Massachusetts. In 1997, I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the Wheelock School of Education at Boston University and obtained an elementary school principal’s license.

My passion for mathematics in the classroom blossomed while teaching 4th grade (9-year-old students). This enthusiasm led me to become an elementary mathematics coach for the district. Inspired by this role, I embarked on a research project to delve deeper into mathematics teaching and learning for elementary students, particularly 9-year-old learners. This project took me to schools across Europe, including Italy, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

From these experiences my goal is to connect students and teachers around the world to create an international collaboration…
